Mesquite Approves Zoning, Tax Incentives For 2.3M SF Industrial Park
Rapid industrial development in Dallas County continues with Mesquite City Council approving a plan to build a 2.3M SF industrial complex known as Alcott Logistics Station in the city.
The project, which is situated south of East Scyene Road and near Faithon P. Lucas Boulevard, is anticipated to create 1,625 jobs with the help of a $130M capital investment.
The complex will feature six buildings, a public park with a walking trail and natural landscaping, and architecture that establishes a corporate-campus feel.
Mesquite City Council approved the project and reinvestment zone financing for it this week.
"We couldn’t be more excited to kickstart Alcott Logistics Station in Mesquite. With the success of our Urban District 30 development, it made total sense to partner with the City of Mesquite to activate this site in such a dynamic location," Urban Logistics Realty Managing Partner and co-owner Jason Nunley said in a statement.
DFW is projected to add 28M SF of industrial development and 79 new ground-up projects this year, representing 8% of all U.S. industrial space projected for delivery in 2021, CommercialSearch noted in its latest Industrial Pipeline Report.
