North Houston Welcomes Whole Foods
Construction is under way on the first Whole Foods in North Houston. Read King and Arch-Con broke ground last week on the 40k SF property at the corner of Louetta and Cutten, which will anchor Phase 1 of 18-acre Vintage Marketplace. Mark says Whole Foods chose the site because of the dense residential population and the area's growth potential. Vintage Marketplace sits within The Vintage, a 630-acre master-planned mixed-use development. Besides the grocery anchor, it will include 31k SF of small shop space designed by Gensler and constructed by Arch-Con. Christie and colleague Tony Patronella repped Read King in buying the site from LCSE LP and leasing to Whole Foods. NewQuest's Jeff Hayes and Tal McIver repped Whole Foods.
