US Rents Dropped On A Monthly Basis For The First Time Since Last Year

For the first time in nearly a year, US multifamily rents have dropped on a monthly basis, according to Yardi Matrix's monthly rent survey. Granted, it wasn't much of a drop.

On average, rents in the 123 markets Yardi surveyed fell in September to $1,219 from $1,220 in August. However, on a year-to-year basis rents are still on the rise, up 4.7% nationwide last month.
